Dr. David Orfali is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician based in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Charles Manopla
Dr. Charles Manopla is a General Pediatrician and Certified Lactation Consultant with a wealth of experience. He obtained his medical degree from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and Albany Medical College in 2014. He completed his pediatric training at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2017. Prior to joining Sephardic Medical Center in April 2023, Dr. Manopla worked at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn as the Director of the Well Baby nursery, caring for newborns and helping new mothers with the challenges of breastfeeding. While at SUNY Downstate, Dr. Manopla also served as a pediatric hospitalist caring for hospitalized children, and as an outpatient pediatrician providing primary care to children of all ages. Dr. Manopla also has Pediatric Emergency Medicine experience covering weekends at Harlem Hospital. Dr. Manopla has a special interest in complex care pediatrics, including providing primary care for premature infants and infants with congenital diseases.
Dr. Joseph Wahba
Unlike some of my classmates who were ‘undecided’ on their intended specialty, I specifically went to medical school to become a pediatrician. I love taking care of children and sharing in their journey of sick and well visits, and following them as they mature. In my over 30 years in private practice, I have been fortunate to care for the children of some of my own patients; that’s the biggest compliment I could ever receive professionally. I am delighted to join the wonderful team at SMC- hoping my experience will benefit new patients and their families.
Rachel Moskowitz
Rachel Moskowitz, MS, PA-C attended SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and graduated with honors. Rachel is a board-certified Physician Assistant who joined SMC from an emergency department setting. Prior to completing her medical degree, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology graduating summa cum laude with awards from Touro college.
